The Untold Story of How Fayose Rose to National Prominence from Being a Common Hustler

Many people will probably not believe it - the man, Ayodele Fayose who now governs Ekiti State was rail-roaded into becoming a politician as a result of a carefree weekend trip to Ado Ekiti in search of a lady after his heart.
...a 2012 picture of when President Olusegun Obasanjo was giving out the flag to Mr Ayodele Fayose,
the 'small boy' who later became the governor of Ekiti State at the age of 43...

Many people will probably not believe it – the man, Ayodele Fayose who now governs Ekiti State was rail-roaded into becoming a politician as a result of a carefree weekend trip to Ado Ekiti in search of a lady after his heart.

Parrots have discovered that the then young but successful Ayo embarked on a weekend trip to his state and that singular trip transformed his life to become what is now known as the Ayo Fayose Phenomenon.

Permit us to recount the story exactly as we heard it from our source who, we believe is very close to the Ekiti young man!

“Ayo was a big hustler who drove taxis, commercial buses and did almost everything possible for him to make it in life. By the time he was 31 years old in 2001, he had already made it as a businessman who made so much money selling auto vehicles and other imported hard wares.

“All his life, except for when he traveled overseas, Fayose schooled and lived in Ibadan. On this particular weekend, he made up his mind to embark on a trip to Ado Ekiti to meet up with a young lady, a neighbor (names withheld). Because of his status as a married man, and the status of the lady as a student living with a very strict Jehovah’s Witness father, he could not make headways with the lady in Ibadan.

“Fortunately, the lady schooled in Ado Ekiti. So, he decided to go to Ado to meet up the lady after being invited several times. He was visiting Ado Ekiti as an ‘Ekitiman abroad’.

“This was around 2001. He got to Ekiti, drove into Olujoda Hotel in Ado. It was while at the hotel, I think on a Friday evening while enjoying at the bar that he met a man who said he wanted to buy a water tanker. Of course, Fayose zeroed in to sell to this young man since he had at least 10 of such vehicles inside his warehouse in Ibadan.

“He thus instructed his manager in Ibadan to arrange to bring one to Ado the following day. When the water tanker arrived, the man filled it up with water to ensure that it was not leaking. At the end of the day, the buyer and seller could not agree on a price. Fayose got angry. He proceeded to ask his driver to return the tanker to Ibadan.

“Before embarking on the return trip, Fayose instructed the driver to empty the content in the tank on to the road. This drew the attention of fellow Ekiti men and women who promptly brought out water fetching utensils from everywhere and anywhere.

“This was a shocking experience to the youthful Ayodele. He got more shocked when he saw the long queue of buckets neatly arranged by his compatriots who needed the content of the vehicle so badly.

“Ayo started to ask questions – are you people this water-starved? He got the affirmation. Ayo’s creative brain started working at dizzying pace. There and then, he asked the driver to go fetch more water and give out to Ekiti people – free.

“Before he knew what was happening, and because of the compassion he had for his people, it took him less than a month to increase the number of water tankers he brought into Ekiti. By this time, he was not thinking about jumping into the murky waters of politics.

“Somewhere along the line, he got advised to put inscriptions on the water tankers thus ‘Who Is Ayo Fayose? He Who Gives Water Gives Life’

“All his water tankers got this painted on them. And they serviced virtually all the local governments in Ekiti.

“Trust Ekiti elites, they said he was a ‘foolish young man wasting money and resources’ by giving out water that he was supposed to be selling for free but the masses appreciated him. He was later invited to be part of the Afao Day planning committee.

“In the process of doing this, he got advised to rehabilitate roads. Of course, he had a friend, Femi Babalola Jogor who was into construction. Together, they constructed bridges and repaired roads and linked communities. All these got him more popular.

“As God would have it, some local governments in Ekiti were invaded by snakes and cases of snake bites became rampant. Fayose brought in portacabins on trailers and started a kind of medical outreach. He started taking care of the health of his people. By this time, he knew he had started a career as a politician.

“He continued along this line till it was time to pick a candidate for political parties to contest the gubernatorial seat in the state. Then, Alliance For Democracy’s Niyi Adebayo was the incumbent governor. Ayo decided to join the Peoples Democratic Party.

“Unfortunately for him, he was a nobody with no godfather. The anointed candidate was SK Babalola, the then Special Adviser for President Olusegun Obasanjo on Education.

“You see, SK Babalola got to know about Fayose and summoned him. He told him that he was aware of his popularity adding that he would be duely compensated by the party. He asked Fayose to step down for him being like a son to him.

“Fayose agreed but begged the almighty SK to allow him to be cleared to contest at the primaries so that he would have ‘experience’. SK thought about it and later agreed. That was his greatest mistake.

“This was in 2002. Fayose was thus allowed to partake in the primaries. Then, SK brought all the ‘muscle’ from Abuja. Ayo did not have any muscle. He had to sell the hostel he built at Agbowo in Ibadan. Brought the money to Ekiti and begged his followers and the delegates to manage and bear with him.

“On the day of the primaries in Akure, Fayose, SK and Olowoporoku sat together on the high table while the delegates were casting their votes. Fayose emerged winner. SK got so angry to the extent that he had to elbow Fayose violently and called him a stupid small boy. He stormed out of the venue and returned to Abuja. Fayose was carried shoulder high and his supporters celebrated all over Ekiti State. The report got to the then President Olusegun Obasanjo.

“When SK, who happened to be OBJ’s friend got to Abuja, he told the President that the ‘kangaroo’ primaries must not be allowed to hold water.

“Trust OBJ, he asked Chief Bode George to go on fact finding mission to Ekiti. The President got the feedback that Fayose had taken over the state and that if the party presented any other candidate, PDP would lose.

“This became a ding-dong affair until the day the party was supposed to give out the flag to the party’s flag bearer. A day to that time, SK gave his own designed attire to OBJ to wear in Ekiti the following day. The President took the cloths and came to Ado Ekiti. You know, the protocol was that he would commission some projects done by the incumbent governor, Niyi Adebayo. After this, it was time for him to go to the stadium where the flag would be given to the flag bearer.

“SK and his people ensured that Fayose was relegated to the background. At the Airport in Akure when the president arrived for instance, Ayo was pushed and kept at the background. He was not allowed to meet the president at the airport. Policemen pushed him and punched him so that he would be demoralized. On the way back to Ado from Akure, his vehicle got stuck somehow. He stayed at that point till another vehicle was arranged for him. He still kept his focus.

“Meanwhile, Chief Bode George kept telling the President about how popular Fayose was. On the way to the stadium, the sing-song about Fayose got so intimidating to the extent that the president noticed too. Thus, when it was time for OBJ to change into the uniform (aso ebi) of the candidate to be given the flag, OBJ decided to wear that one belonging to Fayose’s camp.

“When the President mounted the stage and beckoned on Fayose to step forward to be given the party’s flag, he had to push and shove to gain access to the podium because he was lost in the crowd.

“At the end of the day, he got his flag and by May 29, 2003, he was sworn in as the Executive Governor of Ekiti State. Since that time, his popularity and or otherwise (depending on the way one perceives him) has continued to grow. He is a special creature. God has His plans for him. The Fayose phenomenon has started and is still the issue today”.

S*x Workers Cut Charges in Calabar Following Nigerian Economic Downturn...See Hilarious Details

The economic crisis has also affected the commercial s*x sector of the economy as the workers are lamenting on low patronage.

The economic recession has struck the s*x market in Paradise City, Calabar, capital of Cross River State, forcing working girls to slash their charges to an all-time low of N400 per insertion and N1,500 – N2, 000 per night for home service due to diminishing patronage, according to the Vanguard.

An operator of one of the hot red light zones in the city, Madam Becky (not real name), who spoke in Pidgin English, told Niger Delta Voice since February, the girls have been complaining of “bad market.”

“Why you dey ask me all this kind JAMB question sef, u sure say u no be police? Na because you buy me drinks, wetin I fit tell be say Buhari government no favour us at all, if na before, u no go see girl plenty like that for here, except say Ekelebe people dey disturb. We dey settle them well well, but since February, the business don bad well well,” she lamented.

At some of the brothels and spots in Calabar South visited by this reporter, the story was the same. A street walker, Princess, who spoke to our reporter after much haggle, purchase of a bottle of beer and food for her, said: “I finished My WAEC before I joined this runs oo, my father died that same year and my mother is not too strong to take care of all of us.”

“My father’s people accused our mother of our father’s death, so life has indeed being difficult. I actually came to Calabar in November 2015. I am from Orlu in Imo state but I started this business in Owerri before I moved to a joint in Obiagu in Enugu. Then for a change of environment, I decided to come to Calabar , last year, because I heard that there is usually a boom during the Calabar Carnival and I witnessed it, but things started changing around February,” she said.

According to her: “We used to collect a minimum of N500 naira for a round of sex but it started going down after that Valentine celebration. My customers in a day before used to be between 20 –35 when business was good, but as I am talking to you, my highest in a day is no longer up to 18 or 20 when there is a boom.”

“Upon say I be slim-fit, the only time we have business now is when they pay salaries, during festivities and public holidays,”
she asserted. At a spot on Lugard Street, one of the call girls accosted our reporter, saying, “No be N500 again oo, Buhari don make us bring down the price, port one and get one free" she said.

“If you want home service, just tell me na only 2k I go collect but you go buy be drink and suya ooo with Indomie, but if you want sharp sharp, na N500 I go collect for one round ooo" she added.

According to her, “We just dey manage to survive, wetin man pikin go do, people no dey patronize us like before again, de only hope wey we get some time na some of our regular customers and during some weekends and holidays, but we nor get choice than to reduce wetin we dey charge before.” she asserted.

Check Out Hilarious President Mugabe Quotes that Will Leave You Laughing Hard and Peeing in Your Pants

Posted by Temitayo Ariwoola on Mon 30th May, 2016 -

Omg! These hilarious Mugabe quotes will surely make your day and leave you laughing so hard you may even pee on your pants.
President of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe

Zimbabwe’s president Robert Mugabe who has been in power for 29 years and still refused to relinquish it has become yet another thing of jest as many blame him for the woes of his country.

According to The Nairobian, here is a compiled list of jokes allegedly attributed to the president that will make you laugh and pee in your pants.

They are an odd choice of words and crazy comparisons that always leaves many in stitches. The off-the-wall quotable quotes linger on the mind for  long. There are many random hilarious quotes that have been attributed to the octogenarian.

Sample the following:

1.)  “Treat every part of your towel nicely because the part that wipes your buttocks today will wipe your face tomorrow.”

2.) “Some women’s legs are like rumours, they just keep on spreading.”

3.) “It’s hard to bewitch African girls these days because each time you take a piece from her hair to the witchdoctor, either an innocent Brazilian woman gets mad or a factory in China catches fire.”

4.) “It’s better for a man to be stingy with the money he has hustled for, than for a woman to deny you a hole that she didn’t even drill it herself.”

5.) “Don’t fight over girlfriends. This country is full of beautiful women. If you can’t get one, come to Mugabe for assistance.”

6.) “If you are ugly; you are ugly — stop talking about inner beauty because we don’t walk around with X-ray machines to determine such claims.”

7.) “Dear sister, don’t be deceived by a man who text you “I miss you” only when it’s raining. You are not an umbrella.”

8.) “Check your girlfriend’s body, if she has more tattoos or piercings, you can cheat on her. She is already used to pain.”

9.) “Some of you girls can’t even jog for five minutes, but expect a guy to last in bed with you for two hours? Madness! Your level of selfishness demands a one-week salvation crusade.”

10.) “God is the best inventor ever. He took a rib from a man and created a loudspeaker!”

11.) “If women think having their periods (menstruation) in a whole month is a difficult task, they should ask the men how difficult it is to control an erect (memeber) in public.”

12.) “Sometimes you look back at girls you spent money on rather than send it to your mum and you realise witchcraft is real.”

13.) When debate on homosexuality hit fever pitch some time back, with US president Barack Obama championing for the rights of gay men, good old ‘Bob’ scoffed: “If President Barack Obama wants me to allow marriage for same-sex couples in my country (Zimbabwe), he must come here so that I marry him first.”

14.) As if that wasn’t enough, he threw in yet another deft claim: “Even Satan wasn’t gay, at the Garden of Eden, he chose to approach unclad Eve instead of unclad Adam.”

15.) On the numerous rumours about his death, the octogenarian is rumoured to have once quipped: “I have died many times. I have actually beaten Jesus Christ because he only died once”.

16.) When Western envoys threatened to slap sanctions on Zimbabwe a while back, a furious ‘Mugabe’ is quoted to have hissed: “We don’t mind having sanctions banning us from Europe. We are not Europeans, after all”.

17.) On the economy comrade Bob was once quoted as having said: “Our economy is a hundred times better than most African countries. Outside South Africa, which other country has a better economy than Zimbabwe? The only thing we lack are good on shelves and money in our pockets — that’s it.”

18.) When reading Western leaders the riot act in the past, Bob, in a fit of fury, is quoted as having once said: “The only white man you can trust is a dead one”. “You come take gold and leave holes in my country, no!” .

I Buried My Late Husband 4 Years Ago, But I Still Have S*x With Him Every Night - Woman Confesses

A woman has made a most shocking confession about her interaction with her husband who had already died for as long as four years ago.

File photo used only for illustrative purpose

The woman whose story has gone viral since she shared it revealed how her husband and came back to her.

Read what she wrote below:

****************************************

Please help me, I have gone through enough of this spiritual warfare.

I'm a 30-year-old widow and my husband died 4 years ago when I was 26 years old. We had just gotten married when he was involved in a horrific car accident and died on the spot. That was 5 months after we had been married.

I got a lot emotional pain especially when I began to mysteriously see him every night in my dream. He would be crying whilst looking at me.

3 months later I felt like someone was waking me up at night and I was shocked to see him in my bedroom, sitting by side of the bed. I wanted to scream but he held my mouth and said he had come to help me since he had seen that I was suffering a lot.

I asked him how that was possible when he was dead and he said although we had buried him, his spirit had not departed. He said he still wanted to be with me for some time. He said he would look after me but he warned me against telling people about this development.

He said I should not tell even his own mother and I agreed not to.

I must confess that at that time, I really felt happy because I really missed him. Since then we have been living together as husband and wife with the ghost of my dead husband.

Then there is a church I visited early this year and the pastor preached about not interacting with the dead. And it really hit hard. I realised I should not have contact with the dead and it sent shudders in me.

Now I want to stop living with this dead man but I don't know how to go about it. I really loved my husband and even up to now I still love him dearly. He has never changed. He still is exactly like he was before he died. But what I have noticed is that he is not growing older. He still is exactly as he was when he died four years ago.

I don't even have feelings for any other man. I feel like I'm a married woman. Our s*x life has never changed, It's still as it was before my husband died. But now I'm scared that I'm living with a corpse in the house. Maybe it's because I'm now going to church. I have also not stayed with anyone in my house since my husband died. I always live alone.

At church, our pastor was once attacked with the demon of another man and the man of God collapsed then became conscious later on. It's evident that if I ask him to pray for my husband's spirit to go away, that would be way beyond his powers. I'm also afraid of telling my husband that I don't want to live him with anymore.

How do I tell him when he loves me so much? When visitors come to my house during the day but they don't see my husband. I have never told anyone about this strange encounter, this is my first time to open up about it. One day he told me that his spirit would depart when I breathe my last. So to him, as long as I'm alive he wants to be with me.

Is there any pastor who can solve this spiritual problem? I have been to well known local prophets, but they all failed to detect my dead husband's spirit. I wanted to come across a prophet who would first detect that I'm living with a dead man before I could narrate my ordeal to him. I am now born again and I now want to live a normal life.
